Ride To Imagine-Nation: MALC (GTA IV: The Lost and The Damned)

Original information from the video game GTA IV: The Lost and Damned.  Words by blog holder.  Images from Youtube. Youtube video from Willzyyy.

The life of a tough guy is not an easy one... but it sure is fun.  Especially, when it's lived vicariously through the toughest legends around town. Those legends are the characters of the hit video game GTA (Grand Theft Auto).  One of my favorite characters is someone that could carry a whole game by themself if needed, just on his bike alone. That character is MALC from the GTA IV chapter of "The Lost and Damned."  Malcom a.k.a Malc is the leader of the Uptown Riders of Liberty City.  Being a member of this notorious motorcycle club, Malc does things that would make other hardened criminals faint from the pure excitement alone.  What makes MALC so cool is the "ride it like you stole it, no holds barred" lifestyle he lives on his bike and behind the trigger.  He is a risk taker that is always one step ahead of the competition.  Whether he is smuggling weapons, participating in illegal street races with bats to knockout the competition or fixing problems for other bad guys.  He always does with his own swagger that no one can copy.  Loyal to his crew and friends he is always there to no matter how hot the situation is.  It is because of this people dread messing with anyone associated with him knowing they are going to pay for it and pay dearly.  He also makes sure that the image of the his club is clean too by selling patented rider merchandise branded by his mototcycle club and selling videos of the crazy stunts him and the crew perform.

This video is from from GTA: IV (The Lost and Damned) Shifting Weight mission.

Malc's comes to light in the story when Jim, a member of The Lost M.C., comes to Malc to get explosives for a job that Jim, the main character, needs to eliminate rival bikers known as the Angels of Death.  Malc then gives Jim an opportunity to make money in illegal street races in his neck of the woods in North Wood.  As things start to heat up Malc is needed to help Jim carry out some heavy jobs for people that only he can do.  One things for sure if there is a bike in his posession... the unthinkable can and will happen.  His custom Double T is a bike to marvel at that looks like no other.  With a dragged out swing arm and one of a kind fairings its not hard to spot this sexy ride anywhere.  Cops know him all to well and avoid a chase if they can but if they are in great numbers they'll try to get the untouchable Malc. As Malc joins up with Jim they fend off crazy drug dealers and ride with their life in danger while dodging traffic and the biggest police chase ever seen.  Malc also helps Jim with getting a truck and its contents back while at a toll booth of all places where a shooting match takes place.  Malc shows just how surgical and percise he is with a gun.  After a they finish a couple jobs to perfection they then go back to their seperate groups and live the rider life.  Hopefully this game isn't the last we hear of Malc.

Ride To Imagine-Nation: The Black Six

Original information from the full-length feature film THE BLACK SIX movie.  Pictures from Google Images.  Words by Blog Holder.

When it comes to movies that have the romanticism of the rough biker gangs or of a tough motorcycle rider of the 70's, quite a few movies come to mind. To this day nothing beats that good old texture of the celloloid films that gave us classic cinema that still has a major influence on flicks today.  However, when it comes to motorcycle movies of the 70's fewer feature actors of African descent as riders if any at all. In fact black actors of cinema were starring in "Blaxploitation" movies with some favorite rolls that were good or that of little dignity.  Out of all the motorcycle movies that could put a lot of action, a good story plot and that of great memorable characters that were black bikers, only one was made.  This gem of cinematic marvel was "THE BLACK SIX."  The movie starred a cast of famous football players in their physical prime portraying a group of army veterans back home on their motorcycles and living the biker dream to the fullest.  But, when the main character, Bubba Daniels (Gene Washington/San Francisco 49ers), finds out that his brother was murdered he is on the warpath to find out why and most of all who.  As him and his group of fellow riders venture off on their bikes to find clues, they put together the reason for this senseless murder and deal out some serious justice with a lot of deserved beatdowns to all that need it.  There is a lot of humor from the cast to keep you laughing, not to mention some cool action sequences.  Of course what would a motorcycle movie be without the motorcycles to capture the imagination and inspire many to get on that bike.  The motorcycle they rode were Triumph Motorcycles that came in an aray of different models and mods that came close to stealing the show. The movie had the likes of Carl Eller (Minnesota Vikings) as Jr. Bro Williams who was the right hand man to the character Bubba, not to mention the voice of reason throughout the movie.  Also, in the movie was Lem Barney (Detroit Lions) as Frenchy Laboise who was the Kung-Fu/music man in the band of bikers.  Another player featured as the strong man of the crew was Joe "Mean Joe" Greene (Pittsburg Steelers) as Kevin Washington.  Mercury Morris (Miami Dolphins) played Bookie Garrett, who whipped a lot of guys and had some of the best lines in the movie too.  Lastly, Willie Lanier (Kansas City Chiefs) as Tommy Bunka, played the strong silent type where he let his hard action speak louder than words.  This movie gets four out of five choppers from me which you'll have to see for yourself to agree with me on.  One thing about this movie that is a guarantee, is the instant throwback with the outfits mixed with that classic cool 70's lingo.  So please enjoy the movie if you can find it on Youtube or on your own copy available on DVD.  Believe me... That's no jive man.

Ride To Imagine-Nation: RAVEN (JET MOTO 3)

Original pictures from Youtube, Bio from various sites

The year was 1999 and I was SONY PLAYSTATION with 989 STUDIOS gave me something beautiful, JET MOTO 3. This game was the best thing I ever played at the time it was fast, crazy and demanded you concentrate on every move you made to get from start to finish. I would sit in front of the TV for hours learning the game and playing the game till I perfected it, but the thing that made it the best was a character that was too cool for words, RAVEN. This character was the coolest thing to have race for you. In fact when I looked online I found out that many gamers, regardless of color, loved RAVEN and thought of him as their favorite.

Now the bio of RAVEN is set in the future where HOVER-BIKES are the biggest attraction and the biggest sport is JET MOTO. The sport has been going on for awhile and now a young man known as RAVEN got his chance to play and dominate the sport. When he was young he wanted to always fly the hyper-jets for the armed forces but knew that more excitement could be had on a hover-bike. After long practicing and riding he honed his skill down to razor sharp perfection and daring moves such that he qualified to be one twelve that were good enough out of hundreds to ride the JET MOTO circuit. The circuit is so hard many have tried on died. Raven with a crew of two, a female mechanic and race advisor, took to the 14 tracks and dominated against hard and tricky competition with some that are known to cheat. After beating all of the tracks where he only needed to beat a few to collect a certain amount of points he became the JET MOTO CHAMPION conquering the semi-pro circuit and professional circuit... without losing one race. He even went against two legends Captain Ballad and a old woman named Granny to prove he was the best. And he even proved that he was good on a hover-bike by riding and beating the times required to complete the 3 stunt parks which was very hard.

Everyone please enjoy my favorite JET MOTO character... RAVEN!!!

Ride to Imagine-Nation: RIDE TO HELL

Original information from RIDE TO HELL site, words by BLOG HOLDER

Well fellow riders and enthusiasts, this post is gonna be also for the gamers that like to stay up late till 2am or 3am trying to get that last mission on the video game complete to just get three or four hours of sleep before it's time to go to work... But some of you might be bold and just call out the next day just to stay home and play a video game. I know it sounds crazy but believe me there are many people out there that do that. namely me but I won't admit to it. ANYWAY, back to the post. DEEP SILVER which used to be ROCKSTAR VIENNA is putting out a console video game coming out this year of 2009 called RIDE TO HELL and it promises to be like it was in the 60's with the motorcycle culture when it first started. One thing that I'm impressed with is that the video could have showed any typical stereotypical 60's biker (white biker) and I would have said... "Hmmm, nice game." and that would be it. BUT THEY CHOOSE TO SHOWCASE A COOL BRUTHA ON CHOPPER IN THE DESERT WITH A BANGIN' AFRO'. Then I said, "YES, THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKIN' ABOUT." All in all the game took the leap to show that bikers were bikers regardless of color back then like it's supposed to and in fact the lead biker on the trailer is a cool black man with two fellow white guys riding with him. Now before you start thinking it's about the brutha man, it's not... It follows a guy that has come back from the Vietnam war and has trouble getting back in society, but finds solace with others in a motorcycle gang called the DEVIL'S HAND M.C. This game promises NOT and repeat NOT for children or the faint of heart. It promises to have hard drinking and bare knuckle action like a real game is supposed to. So just imagine an EAST BAY DRAGON rider out for adventure. It will follow in the footsteps of it's predecessor of the GTA series which was created by the former entity ROCKSTAR. But if you look at the pictures and visit the RIDE TO HELL site you will see that the graphics are very High-quality and detailed. Well I'll give you more when I get it as for now this is just teaser information on a character with no name.... enjoy! Look at the YOUTUBE TESER TRAILER BELOW!!!

Ride To Imagine-Nation: BISHOP

Words by Blog Holder

The character BISHOP is the best of the new age of Marvel heroes that was introduced in the early 90's. Bishop's introduction was so pivotal that it changed the whole direction of the X-MEN series and the rest of the Marvel world. For those that are not familiar with Bishop, Bishop is a mutant from the future that knows the the outcome of the X-MEN'S fate which is the death of all the X-MEN by an unknown traitor. As he brings his knowledge and superior special forces training as an ultimate one man army he fights along side with the X-Men not only to help them become better fighters but to be the key to saving humanity from a malevolent evil robot known as Onslaught. Before that even occurred Bishop has had many exciting adventures an he has shown not only his fighting skills but his motorcycle riding skills that have made many drop their jaws when they should be ducking down from plasma rays and gun fire. Onyx Rider viewers it is my pleasure, honor and duty to present my favorite superhero of all time... BISHOP!!!

Ride To Imagine-Nation: JAKE JUSTICE

Original information from various sites and toy product box, words by BLOG HOLDER

In 1999 a cartoon and line of toys came out know as "RESCUE HEROES" they were professionals of various backgrounds in saving people put together to make the ultimate response team to handle global emergencies and harsh rescue operations. One of my favorite characters was JAKE JUSTICE, one of four African-American characters in the storyline. What the character Jake did was introduce a Motorcop (Motorcycle Police Officer) in a better light where we didn't make judgements about him like we do the ones in the real world in fact for me watching the show helped me respect some officers and gave them a better likeness to identify with because he was black. Even Jakes story was quite unique and inspiring... See for youself.

Jake Justice was a born rescuer, helping those in need as much as he could. He has always been a born motocyclist taking to them by helping and being in amazement of them while working at his uncles motorcycle repair shop. So when Jake choose his profession it was an easy one to become a Motorcop. While on duty a patoling the metropolitan area Jake received the call that a unstopple criminal was at large. He jumped on his police motorcycle and chased him down all while making sure people were safe . Finally he did the unthinkable, he caught the villian that no one thought could be caught. Because of his high level of skill on the motorcycle and quick wit he was the successful and the first recruit of the Rescue Heroes and has endlessly stopped crime with his high tech motorcycle and equipment.
